Washington State has been my home my entire life. I have traveled around the country and it is still my favorite! I love the green, the trees, the weather (yes, the rain too!), the people, and all of the gorgeous water.
The art of food is a huge passion of mine. I love to explore new styles of cooking and plant-based is my newest obsession. Did you know that you can turn almost anything into a plant-based version? The flavor and the health benefits are a win/win! Ask me about my newsletter for new monthly recipes.
I love to be involved in the local community and I volunteer whenever I get a chance. The Thurston County Food Bank and Concern for Animals are two local organizations that I have been involved with in the past.
I am currently on the board of directors at the Olympia Food Co-op. It has been a very satisfying venture so far and I have learned so much in a short amount of time. Meeting new people is always a plus for me.
The many parks and attractions that Washington State has to offer are places that I like to visit with my family in my spare time. Tolmie State Park is one that we recently went to. The trails and the beach make this park unique. We take a short hike through the woods and then hunt for seashells on the beach. The smell of the ocean is a natural antidepressant. Being outside every chance I get is a must for me. Fresh air and sunshine are the best!
